Oh Golly what fun!

I finally got the pressure hose pulled through by myself. It required a few hundred times of sit on the floor, Pull and jiggle the hose, get up, go to the other end, repeat , over and over and over. For many HOURS. To do the return line I asked my business partner to come over this morning. Hook on the new hose and it was done in 3 minutes tops. I did my Snoopy Happy dance and then sat down to hook the hoses back the the steel hoses in the back. An hour or so later, done. Then the front. The hoses I got are great, but would be fantastic is they were 3/4 of inch longer. The fitting is JUST sticking out of the firewall. Tied a piece of wire to both to prevent them from going back into the tunnel. Hour and a half later, the front hoses are connected to the fuel pump or the gas tank as appropriate.

Then "just" insert the new grommets. The hoses come with a nice set of 4 grommets. They are split and one "just snaps them over the line and pushes them into the body of the car" yea right. That took a while. Lots more cussing.

The fuel lines are all connected, grommets inserted, fuel pump hooked up, and transmission cross-member in place. All it needs is some gas in the tank for a "leak test" and then reassemble the interior. Put back the skid plate and ta da! Maybe another half day.

I had to change hats and "go" to work. Dang boss makes me work on his car and then expects me to get all my work done as well.
