OP,
1) can you tell us (me) more about the Giulia? I'm considering one just for something different, as a lease, thought maybe a Quadrofoglio lease return next year as a purchase but that's crazy I think - depreciation/reliability... still curious about the base...
2) Mini Cooper S is fun as a GTI alternative, more tossable
3) if considering a classic DD (reliable and a hoot): BMW 2002 base (cheap) easily modified to Tii levels of power. Added benefit: zero depreciation
