Jarring - the key word here.
I prefer cycling to running because of just that.
If anything - a mini-triathlon (run 5K, bike 10K, swim 1/4 mile) would be the trick.
I was doing some of those back in the 90's and it felt SO good!
Now it's just cycling...but congrats on your achievements, Steve - and good luck this weekend!
