Then last year Irma knocked us out for a week, it was a godsend.
If you live somewhere like we do, it is a no brainer one less thing to worry about when a storm is coming.
I also just replaced half my homes windows with impact windows, I now have half the work to do when getting ready.

I was here for the 2004 hurricane marathon, so can relate. I didn't get a generator until the following year and didn't even use it until 2016 with Matthew and also last year with Irma. It's only a 5kW unit but that was enough to get the job done here.
Obviously - you have THE setup!
