I have to say, I'm pretty darned impressed with the new Mustangs and, even more so, with Ford's new attitude towards them. It's nice to see an engineering team being allowed to have some fun and show off a bit. That doesn't happen all that often in uptight corporate America.

I think Chevrolet is having just as much fun; all the new iterations of the Camaro, and the Corvette with all of it's new manifestations are just as impressive as what Ford is rolling out with the Mustang. It seems like the engineers are in cahoots with the beancounters and it's all about the fastest and the quickest. They're halo cars and everyone knows it, but its fun to witness this new generation of American sports cars.
(And I'm still marveling that Dodge has a car that anyone can buy right off the showroom that can lift it's front wheels from a standing start).
