I too was not impressed to be watching Nascar when I wanted Indy car
I used to watch Nascar mostly for the road courses but between awful commentators , WWE type scripted finishes and the France family draining every penny out of the " sport " I stopped watching long ago . Based on the latest TV ratings and the empty seats I am not alone in my thoughts . It would appear the organization has lost its way .
I fear a similar demise is coming to F1 if they don't get their act together
. Boring races and WAY too many rules are slowing innovation and creativity . The glory days of V12/V10 engines have been replaced by V6 engines that sound like a Honda with a fart can muffler ! I'm not saying IMSA has a perfect set of rules but the races for the most part are fairly exciting with real racing/position changes every race . Just being the polesitter in a given category is NOT a guarantee of a win which is how it should be in my opinion . End of rant .......... sorry
