I just had hardwood floors installed last week — dogs seem to slide around a little, I’m sure it will scratch and need resanding in 10 years BUT it’s real wood not some fake vinyl stuff ... just my 2c .. Id use vinyl in a rental “maybe” .. but I just hate the way the planks usually lift especially near any wet area :
