My dad is like you. He has had a Ford pickup my whole life. He currently has (what is I believe) an '05 4WD with the 5.4L engine that he bought new, and that has been bulletproof so far. Like me, he can't justify getting rid of it to get a new truck he will probably like no more, but will pay a HELLUVA lot more for....

My 2004 Mustang GT DD 4.6L currently has 165,000 miles with no ticking, and has given me no problems.....I will buy another one.

I have driven Ford pickups for 35 years now, and other than brake issues, they just seem to keep running faithfully for me.
