Sure I would like the "Ego-boost" engine and newer gadgets but the price differential is abysmal and at the end of the day a new truck is the same with arguably better gas mileage and nothing else.

That's sorta true, depends on how you use it. I wouldn't want to pull my boat with your truck, but my "Ego-boost" does just fine.
