Just take it all in. The cars are all gems. At some point, you start to feel guilty about walking nonchalantly past yet another Le Mans winner (car or driver). There are typically no ropes, so you can get a close look at everything. Prowl the paddock, check out the vendors, walk through the spectator Porsche parking areas, and walk the track to watch from different corners. You'll get out of it what you put into it. But be prepared to come home and realize that you missed something or didn't fully appreciate what you saw. Almost everything is significant. We've been to all of them since 2001 and they have all been amazing. If you want a souvenir, buy early. Hats and posters have typically sold out quickly.
Oh and if you see a good looking guy walking around with a camera or two, stop me and say hello.
