I've come to the conclusion that there is pretty much no way to prevent shot from getting everywhere. Every single time I try to refill the shot bottle, some spills. Heck, yesterday, I was trying to deal with an "empty" bag of shot. It was a plastic bag inside of a canvas bag. I decided to recycle the plastic bag. Unbeknownst to me, they had sewn the other end of the canvas bag shut by sewing through the plastic bag. When I tried to remove the plastic bag, several hundred spheres of #9 shot in what I thought was an empty bag went everywhere. At least I have a dedicated reloading room. (I consider it a must with small children, some of who still put everything in their mouths.)
