So blood letting did have it's purposes.
Maybe back when they cooked all the time in those bit iron pots the doctors coming up with blood letting wasn't so far off.
A lot of people still use iron skillets today.
Back in scouts. we aways took a cast iron dutch oven, an ice cream freezer, a big cooler of ice, and fixins to make peach or cherry cobbler in the dutch oven and serve it with fresh home made ice cream. If camping lasted longer than a weekend, Our scoutmaster always arranged for ice to make ice cream. Everyone looked forward to it.
