The exchangers that are on that car are 2.0 ones. They don't have a "kick up" near the muffler flange.

You can swap between the 70-74 exhausts as long as you keep the exchangers, muffler, and muffler hanger together. Those must be of the same type--but they can be bolted onto any 914 engine. Or any VW Type IV except for the very last "square port" Bus heads.

You can swap either of the 70-74 exhausts onto a 75-76 914, but you will also need just about all of the heater hardware from the earlier set up.
