Remove primer from on top of paint without hurting the finish?
Who ever owned my old plow truck , felt the need to spray bomb halfway down both sides to cover up some really ugly rust issues.
The problem is, that they covered up about 2 ft of area , where the paint was still decent.
I do not plan on painting this truck this season, only patching holes, and making it roadworthy, so in an effort to make it look a little better, I would like to get rid of as much of this primer as I can. The original paint is buffing up decent so far .
I am next to positive, that it is only el cheapo murhpys mart, spray can primer.
I was able to wet sand through quite a bit of it, but it is an arduous task. I would love to find a quicker way, but I a m up for it if I have to wet sand through all of it.
Think I can quick wipe it off with laquer thinner without pulling the paint underneath off ?
