I look at the situation and this is my thought: They were both cheaters, he only ever cheated WITH her. They both ended the other relationships immediately. It was a long time ago and in college. Neither has ever cheated since.

This is why if you aren't both liberal, you shouldn't hook up before marriage.
Fundamentally, the person you are "dating" is NOT YOUR WIFE/HUSBAND.
If someone wants to keep it between WIFE/HUSBAND, yet failed to do so when dating eachother, then that plants the seeds of raging life long jealousy.
A lot of folks don't seem to get this, but I see it played out with people I knew what was up when they were dating.
