No. Some are supposed to be copper hex-nuts.
Yes, they are a *****! I used a universal head on a 1/4 drive. The universal was specific to the nut size.
Biggest problem i ran into was snapping exhaust studs.
When you re-install, use anti seize and new nuts. I am concerned with the use of cad-plated hardware in exhaust applications. It seems the replacement barrel nuts are all cad plated.
