Wait - this isn't PARF content . . . yet
I don't know about the rest of you, but this is welcome news. I've called America home for the last twenty years, and have been visiting on a regular basis for the past forty. I love it here, and would never consider moving back to the UK, but there were historically two things which gave me cause for concern.
One of those was beer. However, this country seems to have gone above and beyond in the last thirty years or so. Now, with microbreweries springing up everywhere, and even some of the big brewers producing respectable beer, that is no longer a concern.
Now it looks as though the tide is turning on the second - Cheese.
Face it, American cheese is basically orange or yellow sheets of rubbery plastic. It's generic, tasteless, and offers no nutritional value whatsoever. Of course, there have always been a few artisanal cheese makers, but they were not appreciated to the extent they deserved in my opinion. But the times are changing. People are coming to the realization that cheese can be great, and it doesn't have to come in 3"x3"x1/16" thick tiles. Quality cheese has been slowly working it's way from specialist stores to main-stream supermarkets, and long may it continue to grow in popularity.
Do yourselves a favor. Bring it back. Stop this pre-grated, pre-sliced garbage and;
Make America Grate Again!
