We have had one as one of our courtesy cars for the last 6.5 years. It has the equivalent of 70K miles on it now. Ours is the JCW version. The only repair we have done is a power steering pump. It gets regular maintenance and we have done the brakes on it once. I am not sure how well it gets treated by clients, as it is fun to drive, but has been very reliable. Far better than many of the the later models we see in the shop.
Ours will need a clutch soon as one person who had it for a few days claimed to know how to drive a manual transmission. I think they learned on our Mini...
Fit and finish isn't great, and the car has a few interior rattles, but has been reliable.
