There are several tiers of quality in the DPMS line, not sure where the Oracle sits.
Personally when I decided AR prices had bottomed out last year, I became a happy customer of Palmetto State Armory. Between their various holiday sales and daily deals, I now have 3 ARs to keep my FAL happy, all between $400 and $500. On their 4th of July sale and Father's Day sales it was possible to build an AR for just at $320... Really need to get more mags though... and ammo.
With PSA the simple thing is to get a complete lower on sale/special for $100-200, and then a complete upper on sale/special for $200-350, put the 2 halves together, and add a mag, ammo, and optic if needed.
