My best cancelled flight story I wasn't flying either. it was when my Mom was flying back from Harlingen TX. She gave me the flight she was supposed to be on, when I went to pick her up she wasn't there. The girl working the gate didn't know anything about it.

At that time I had the address and a back door login for American Airlines SabreNet system that did passenger scheduling for most of the airlines and tracked most all the flights.

Drove home, logged into SabreNet and looked up Mom. She had to change planes in Houston. They had overbooked her flight from Houston to OKC and put her on a later one. The flight to bring her to OKC had just left Houston and she was on it. Found the flight number and arrival time for OKC. It was better than UPS or FedEx tracking.

Was able to go be standing at the gate when Mom got to OKC. Luckily her luggage was on the carousel as well.
