Brent, I had to change from the 14 inch wheels I had on the Elky to 15s just to get tires that fit that were not trailer tires. The 15s are getting that way. I have the BG Goodrich tires now. General makes some in the same size, but I don't want one different type of tire with three of the others. The next set may well be General. If I were not lazy I would look up the sets of tires I have bought over the years. Lots of them. The BFG tires are decent, but they wear out really fast.

All the tire shops want to rotate the tires. I just leave the steering tires in the front nad drive tires in the back, and they all wear out at the same time if I go with tire pressures I KNOW work after 300,000+ miles of driving it. 36 fronts, 24 rear, if I am not carrying a load like 99% of the time. If I run the rear pressure any higher it just wears out in the middle.

We used to have War Bonnet Tech in OKC. We had lots of German speakers from Porsche in Germany. We also got the tire engineers to talk to us. One year Michelin screwed up and sent a tire salesman. He was pure salesman, and had no technical knowledge. The audience savaged him with questions he was totally ignorant on. They never made that mistake again and we usually got a senior engineer that knew everything about tires possible. He said he never allows the tires to be rotated on his personal cars. Of course the 911 is not something that can allow for rotated tires since the tires are different sizes.
