Really? I've never had extra buttons that didn't work. My boxster has sport exhaust and also sport chrono. I therefore don't have the "sport exhaust" button, but I do have the "sport button" and I've seen plenty of cars that have the sport exhaust button, but not the "sport" button.
It seems like Porsche usually has blanks or spots for button, but does not actually install said buttons.
