I read somewhere that the most dangerous time to be on the road is between 2a.m. and 4a.m. I guess this backs it up.
GRANADA HILLS — A speeding sports car driven by an intoxicated man struck another car on the westbound Ronald Reagan (118) Freeway today, killing three people and injuring two others, authorities said.

Three people were in a Honda Prelude traveling in the fast lane west of Balboa Boulevard about 2:10 a.m. when a Chevrolet Corvette approached from behind, said California Highway Patrol Officer Alex Gonzalez.
A witness said the 2003 Corvette was traveling in excess of 100 mph, Gonzalez said.
The Prelude changed lanes to allow the Corvette to pass on the left, but the black sports car moved to pass on the right and struck the rear of the Honda in the next lane, Gonzalez said.
All three people inside the white Prelude were killed as the car spun out of control and became fully engulfed in flames, Gonzalez said.
The driver of the Corvette was taken to Providence Holy Cross Medical Center, treated and released, Gonzalez said. The man was then arrested for driving while intoxicated and potentially faces other charges, he said.
His passenger was transported to Northridge Hospital Medical Center in unknown condition, the officer said.
The westbound 118 Freeway was shut down at Balboa until shortly before 7 a.m., said CHP Officer John Seumanutafa.
