I think there is something to be said about lead, but agreed, Bondo works great, IF you use it correctly.

I was very surprised to find PLASTIC FILLER from the factory on my 911 when I stripped it to do a full repaint.

The joint between the rocker panel and the rear door jam had what looked like Bondo under the original paint.
