All brokers are middlemen sugar, that’s what they do, they broker out the work to independent carriers/drivers. And no, they don’t change the price mid move, they can’t do so as there’s a signed contract with the broker that has the price on it.
It can turn into a bigger hassle using a transport company than a broker sometimes, which is why I eventually started using a broker. Brokers aren’t all good, but neither are all transport companies. Which is no different than any other biz.
