Switched my electric billing over to Smart Hours where summer rates go to half, then go up during afternoon based on outside temps. The plan itself saves me about $400/summer. They also gave me a free energy audit, replaced all my bulbs with LED, and two power strips for signing up.

They gotta be charging too much if they can give all that away to switch to a plan that I spend less during the summer.

Don't know what kind of Apartment Bob has in Tulsa, but he spends more than I do on electricity and I have a 1750 sqft home built in 1981 (cheaply).
He sent me a link to some scam thing that claims to save 80% on your electric bill by switching my home to run off batteries.

Friend told me I need to get new energy efficient windows. Says it will save me 50% off my heating an cooling.
The quote was $7000 for all my windows and storm doors. At an average of $120/mo for gas and electric on average spending $7000 to save $60/mo would take 10 years to pay for itself.
