The major problem was running them up to 150mph a couple times and not replacing them in a timely fashion afterwards. They are only speed rated to 112 MPH max, so you were a bit over the rating. My El Camino weighs a LOT more than your Cobra, and it has plenty of traction. They have pretty decent performance for my application. Wet driving was a major reason to buy them. Since your car has no roof, I suspect wet traction is not a concern for you.

I might be able to hit 120 in the Elky if I was being chased by someone with a gun. It would be a scary ride for sure. I don't think I have ever hit 90 in the Elky. It just does not like going much faster than 75.
