Hate to be a downer with the thread just back up, but our Smokey passed away in his sleep Sunday night. Apparently, his heart was worse than we thought. He hadn't been the same for the last 3-4 months. But as mentioned previously, the Vetmedin worked incredibly well (for 2-3 weeks). Then it seemed to do nothing
He actually had a great last day and spent the whole day with my wife and I and others and seemed OK. But at dinner time his coughing attacks returned and he wouldn't eat or drink. I was worried but thought I'd get him into the vet first thing Monday morning. RIP buddy.
We donated the $200 worth of Vetmedin we had just purchased.
