I have one of those "Porsche" crest knobs, and tried to drill out the aluminum insert/sleeve so I could use the original crush sleeve - no go, the shift ro is bigger than the insert. Bah, I like the original knob way better anyway.
HEY JERRY I just put a set of Renthal softs on, and used the ol' laquer clear spray paint. It eats up the rubber so fast that you have to put the grip on in a hurry or it'll disintegrate in your hand. But it practically melts onto the handlebar
! I safety wire 'em too.
