Yea, I though about just buying entire A-arms with ball joints installed. But then the upgrade fever starts. For "just a little more" I can get tubular A-arms, and of course the premium model is just a bit more, and than it would be cool to get new hubs and bigger brakes and.....
In the end, I cheated big time. I took it to a local shop I trust to do the A-Arms and a new alignment.
One of the the factory front end parts that wore out ages ago was the steering arm. The factory unit had no grease zerk, as it was a "lifetime" lube. Yea, lifetime of 60,000 miles. The replacement has been on there ever since and it gets lubed regularly. It is still in prefect shape after 300K miles.
