If I understood you correctly, you want to get all the CIS stuff off the engine, and install them back later. And you are not removing the cam towers and cylinder heads. If this is the case, you just need basic metric tools (sockets, box, open and Allen wrenches) and a decent engine stand (engine yoke - optional).
Borrowing tools is a good option but it will take you weeks or even months to get this project done and you are better off having your own set of tools. Unless you are planning to remove the cam towers and cylinder heads, there are some special tools you need to have. Keep us posted.
