This maybe due to the master cylinder reservoir grommets leaking and allowing the level to drop too low, try topping up and pumping the clutch pedal and checking for leaks.


Check the back of the clutch master cylinder, usually when one is leaking the other one is too. Also carefully inspect the flexible pressure hose.
Yes, you can do it yourself, get the master and slave cylinders and the short length of blue feed hose. The biggest problem is bleeding the system, it's best to have a power bleeder.
