I once gave away quite a bit of money (to me and most people) on the pretext of it becoming a major artistic venue.

It was supposed to be backed by major sponsors.
Big Big...major sponsors....cough.
This thing never happened.
I feel ripped off.

I pissed away a lot of money during that time.
But always felt that it went towards good people or good use for the community at large.
Sucker here.
This thing was probably for paying off someone's private mortgage, while I still ate ramen and kept the thermostat at 50deg.

Is there any way to recover private donations based upon false pretext?
