Cars with needs are languishing or falling.
The market has gotten smarter and not just buying anything air cooled.

I’ve never understood why so many choose to finance a long term project vs just buying the well sorted car to begin with. I’m guessing some of it has to do with preferring to put less down initially and self financing it over time, as in spending the money on the car when you have it, but that’s rarely the financially smart move. I think there’s still lots of dumb money buying these turds, otherwise they’d be far more inline with where they really should be, which is much cheaper. I think many of these turds (project cars) have no value beyond parts cars, yet people still restore them and then end up so far underwater once finished. It’s a strange phenomenon to say the least.
