I've seen those and thought they looked like a good idea. There are lots of sharp edges around a gutter, no place for bare hands. I could really have used one after we moved into this place. The gutters on the out buildings were
packed. Now that the gutters are clean I use a leaf blower on the roof. I have some valleys that have to be cleaned off. While I'm up there it's not big deal to blow out the gutters too.

My house had them when we moved in. The open cells in the top surface were packed solid with rotten vegetation and moss. The gutters weren't doing anything at all.
