Friends have the 2018 4Runner. He really likes it but he is a Toyota guy through and through.
35 thousand miles so far, good to go.
I own a 2003 4Runner that has 250K plus on the clock and is my wife's DD. She won't think of getting new until it poses a reliability problem.
Concerning the FJ - we own two. My daughter has a 2007 she has owned since late 2008. It has 198k on it and has been trouble free. She gets dealer offers on it every time she takes it in. It has depreciated less than 25% from what we paid used.
My son has a 2013 with low miles. Little to no depreciation.
They are fine for what they are...I love the interior roominess. I am driving my daughters FJ a few times a week since she lives in NYC and left her FJ with us
