I was fortunate enough to grow up just east of Seattle during the glory days of Unlimited Hydroplane racing. We would ride our bikes from the eastside, across Mercer Island, and on down to the Stan Sayers pits to watch the racing. Allison, RR Merlin and Griffon V-12 WWII fighter engines.
