Had a rainbow. thought it was great. Then a vacuum salesman put a light on the exchaust from it. The rainbow was putting dust back in the air. Said it was like skipping stones.

Got his Fairfax canister vacuum...And went the next day to the store and bought several other highly rated vacuums. Did comparisons going over an area til that vacuum did not pick up any more. Then went ever that same are with the other vacuums. There were some better than others but the Farifax always picked up stuff the others missed. When I started an area with the Fairfax the others did not pick anything up. Took all the other vacs back to the store and kept the Fairfax.

After the first time vacuuming the whole house with the Fairfax noticed there was not hardly any dusting that needed done!

There was no such thing as a shark or dyson back then. May be time to do another evaluation.
