Yup. Stuff like this is probably the beginning of the end for Tesla. The big companies have economies of scale, dealer infrastructure, advertising budget, engineering capability, and brand cache that Tesla can't match. Oh yeah, and they also will very likely turn out a higher quality product and deliver it on time.

While concerns over Audi reliability are pretty well founded, electric cars are dirt simple compared to an IC one. You are talking about exchanging thousands of parts for a handful, and only one that moves.
