I have known since my 20s that humankind is deeply flawed and only evolved enough to be a clear danger to itself, the planet and other species. The majority of people on this planet are greedy, self-centered, tribal, demonize other groups/cultures/religions and believe in fantasies and myths which drive them to make war and slaughter countless innocent people. Our social and conscious evolution has stagnated if not backslid under our current nationalism. Many seem to never acknowledge that is only by fate they weren’t born in a third world country, or of a different color.
I have no illusion that we will evolve out of this. Instead greed and ethnocentrism will poison the planet, create even greater climatic changes, generate more wars and create never ending suffering. We only evolved enough to endanger ourselves and everyone and thing around us. In the words of Donald Trump, sad.
