Way back in the "Happy Days" of the late 1950s and 60s my uncle was a teenager. He talked about how almost every boy he knew had a black leather jacket. He found a white leather jacket that fit him great, and was cheap. He bought it and loved the attention from the girls that saw someone that stood out from the crowd.
The one night he heard the phrase "I don't know who that group of kids was, but one of them was wearing a white leather jacket" the light bulb went off. He found a younger kid (sucker) to buy the white leather jacket and he had to sell some of his stuff, to buy a black leather jacket, to blend in.
On a fairly regular basis a friend will tell me he saw me driven the El Camino over at some area of town. I don't go to bars or massage parlors, bad places, so I have zero issues about it. I do get around as I drive a lot for my business, and the airports are in Guthrie, or far far west part of town, or Norman, or Calumet, and Tulsa and so on. I do get around. Nothing to hide.
