Had a 2009 S63 AMG. Loved it while it was under the extended warranty. Maintenance nightmare without a warranty. $3400 just for the front brakes...this is rotors and pads. $4k when the air suspension leaked. $600k when a climate control blower stopped working. $500 for key replacement if needed. Luckily I did not have any of these problems out of warranty. Having said all that it was a damn nice car and if you're mechanical and can fix this stuff yourself, you'll love the car. If you have to go to a dealer, its painful.
