^this is true with pretty much any 15-20 year old vehicle. You can buy low mile 15-20 year old MBs in good shape for 10k or less all day long. Some can be nightmares for sure, but pick a good one and you’ll be hard pressed to find a better vehicle at that price point. 2 of my 3 were acquired from the original owners...that’s the best way if you can find one.
I dearly love my W210 diesel. If it has engine or trans trouble I will probably spend the time and $ to fix even though it doesn’t make financial sense because its the finest road cruiser I have owned.
