Elissa 1 Year Post Hospice Care
It is hard to believe a year ago, the day after Thanksgiving that I had to call my wife from the hospital and tell her the bad news.....After going to Hawaii for a Make A Wish trip and the wonderful support and prayers, her life has turned around for the better. She has gotten stronger and more active. Hospice is something she does not remember or at least does not seam to remember.
Houston is in charge of her health care working with her team in Dallas. Her test results for M.A.C. (Pulmonary MAC infection is associated with chronic lung diseases, such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), chronic bronchitis, bronchiectasis, cystic fibrosis, and lung cancer.Oct 18, 2018) are improving and we are planning for her to be listed for possible transplant after January.
Elissa is out shopping with my wife as I write this. She does drive and gets out of the house several times a week. She took me shopping last Wednesday to pick up some cologne that she wanted me to have. Life is still rough on all of us but we never thought we would ever celebrate a post year.
Thanks for the support.G S & E
