One downside of retiring is that I have lost access to the blast cabinets that were a short walk into the factory from my office. Had various mediums at my disposal but usually used glass. Lots of Kawi parts done over the years and a lot of stuff for the 911. Most of the 911 stuff, heat shields, tin, mainly external parts, got powdercoated after blasting and turned out very well.
No experience with clearing glass from internals but the shop cleaned numerous aero parts with internal passages after blast without failures. It can be done.

It was a sad day when our ultrasonic cleaner with Trichlor was changed to an aqueous/citric solution. Lots more effort to degrease my stuff.
