I used to have a house with a shared drive. The neighbor did keep their trash on their side of the drive but would refuse to bring in the empty cans, sometimes for 2-3 weeks at a time! Since my house was closer to the road, everybody assumed they were mine and would even ask me why I always leave my trash cans out
Solution, ran a CL ad in the Free section: "6 large trash cans, like new. Free. Sitting by road. No need to knock on door, just pick them up." Gone in 3 hours. They bought all new cans and I did it again about a month later. After that, they got a dumpster and kept it back by their house.
This woman neighbor, who was a doctor, was a complete psycho. Still can't figure out how they generated so much trash. Just 2 people and they'd have 5-6 overflowing cans every couple of weeks
