My dad was a 35+ year GE employee. When he passed a few years ago, his portfolio included a fair amount of GE stock. Mom did well on the annual dividend. But, of course, that is now gone.
In a nutshell, GE lost its way when Jack Welsh retired. The following years were a disaster.
If one is not already a GE stock owner, buy. If you are an owner, sell.
