The main problem is the rotor diameter is limited by the caliper mount on the knuckle. I know a fair amount about those cars, having several in the past. I'm unaware of Any front upgrade that's easy and cheap. You can install rear disc brakes from an Impala SS, there are several companies that make the mounting plates but you're still looking at @$500.00 in all the parts needed, not including the correct master cylinder.
