One of my former co-workers grew up on a farm. He said a tornado came through and destroyed the original farm house that was being used as a storage barn. And it tore up the trees. He said his dad went out and drilled small holes in the tree, and inserted straw. He made a bunch things just to make the event weirder. Then when the sheriff came to see if they awe OK, he showed all the things to the sheriff. Word got around fast in a farm community, and soon he was charging 25 cents per person to see the "mysterious tornado damage."
Kinda like the fire damage in Paradise, CA it is just weird how house after house is nothing left but a pile of rubble or just a foundation, and then a house is still there, almost untouched. We helped fly the Paradise fire damage. I got to look at some of the aftermath. Not much left bu the school, the mall and a few scattered houses. Very random houses are spared.
