A you said, it's a 1953 model TD-6. 248 ci 4 cylinder gas/diesel engine. Guys I know who have them say the weakest link to getting it started is the gas-side ignition. If it's been sitting it will need the usual gas line and carburetor clean out in addition to getting the ignition working. I don't know if they still used a magneto in 1953 or not. All the gas versions of the tractor (T-6) had switched to distributor ignition by then. Once you get the gas side running to do the usual diesel stuff, drain and clean the tank and lines, change the filters, bleed the air out etc.

Here is a video of a guy starting one. It fires up on gasoline and once it's warmed up the pulls a lever that closes the valve to the gasoline combustion chamber - instantly raises the compression ratio from 5 or so to 16:1 - and the diesel fires up. Kinda cool.
